Kelly Korak, Co-Owner | Creative Director
As long as she can remember Kelly has been creating, making and designing. To the amazement of her mother, she was drawing detailed ads at the ripe old age of 4 and mimicking Bob Ross paintings, followed by school art competitions and hand-lettered Homecoming posters.
After receiving her B.S. in Communications and Media Graphics she began her career in Virginia Beach where she honed her craft of creative page layout and book cover design at a national publishing company. In 2000, Kelly traded in her longboard for a snowboard and headed to Colorado, where she served as art director and creative director for some of Denver’s most creative design agencies. She hearts typography and keeping her clients happy, and it’s no secret she was a H.S. cheerleader when you see her present logos. Kelly’s talent not only lies in developing outstanding design pieces for her clients, but providing a level of customer service and communication that few creative professionals possess. She has worked with notable clients such as American Heart Association, Western Union, The Children’s Hospital, Transamerica and CU Denver Business School.
These days she is inspired by her three children, mid-century modern design, natural living, minimalism, Blue Note album covers, Hatch Show Print posters and the art of Saul Bass. When not pining for the Rockies and keeping-up with her clients, Kelly is reconnecting with the Blue Ridge Mountains of her youth and introducing her husband and kids to NC beaches and BBQ. She’s a big fan of Jesus, podcasts, Tina Fey, Bob Dylan and NPR.
Lee Korak, Founder | Designer
With mid-western roots and a fine art background, Lee’s down-to-earth practicality and extraordinary artistic talent make him a highly-effective creative professional. After graduating in 1998 with a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Colorado, Lee went on to serve as an in-house designer, agency art director and freelance illustrator for a variety of successful Denver companies. Lee co-founded Korak Design in 2004 and brings a passion for creating strategic commercial art that meets his own lofty standards. In his spare time, Lee enjoys the game of washers (three-time Colorado Washer Tournament Champ!), spending time with his three children, discovering new craft beers (IPAs!) and serving at his church and in Christian men’s ministries.
