MV2 PARTNERS

Building distinct identities rooted in the history of place

The Challenge
MV2 Partners needed distinct identities for two mixed-use developments in downtown Mooresville, North Carolina. Each property had its own history and sense of place, but both needed flexible brand systems that could extend from marketing materials to the physical environment.

The Approach
For Mill One, we drew inspiration from the historic mill that once occupied the site, developing a vintage industrial identity rooted in the property’s past. The system included logo design, color and typography, photography direction, and a visual approach designed to translate across signage, environmental graphics, brochures, and the website.

For Station 222, we followed the same place-driven approach while creating an identity with a personality of its own. Named for a nearby historic train station, the brand draws on the area’s railroad heritage, including environmental graphics that bring that history into the space.

The Result
The two identities feel connected in their approach without becoming variations of the same brand. Each gives its development a distinct sense of place, with cohesive systems designed to carry from digital and print communications into the built environment.
